A Beautiful Blog by a self-proclaimed Amazing Girl

Writing introductions is so intimidating. This is the first time you, the reader, are getting to know me. Do you know how much pressure that is? As a rambler, it’s near impossible for me to write a short and succinct, yet entertaining, introduction about myself and this blog – but that’s what I’m about to attempt to do.

I am from Southern Pennsylvania, and I recently turned 25. I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Web and Interactive Media, which is a pretty fancy way of saying web designer. Spending more and more time away from the school setting, I’ve realized that I definitely prefer designing for the web more than making it dynamic. In short, I’d much rather be using Photoshop and coding in CSS than spending time working with PHP or .Net.

Since I was a wee lass, I have been largely into hand lettering, crafting, and being creative in general. I get this from my mother. If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t have been crocheting since age 5 or bubble and decorative lettering since age 7. Her influence has really helped to push me into the direction I’ve been heading for the past 10 years.

This blog is a mixture of all the things I love to do and share. Web Design – I created the theme. Digital Art – I greatly enjoy using both Photoshop and Illustrator to create graphics and logos. Drawing – Recently, I’ve really started to get into drawing characters (although it’s much more satisfying watching some of my favorite YouTubers draw, and then secretly crying to myself because they make it look way easier than it actually is). Hand Lettering – I’ve been super inspired to pick this up a bit more, lately. Creativity – Any excuse to create something that I like to look at, or just enjoy aesthetically. Blogging – What can I say? I love to talk. Sharing – Creating things for others to get inspired by. Making New Friends – I’m excited to start meeting other people in this community and getting to know my readers (all three of you, woo! let’s form a 3 man one man wolf pack).

A few pictures of my wonderful boyfriend, amazing sister, and some of my very dearest friends. Just a few of the most important people in my life. Not pictured, but equally as important are my best friend Shelby, the bros from college, my “big sister” and her family, Mallory and Steph, and of course my mom and dad and other family members.

For those of you wondering a little more about me specifically, I think the term “adorkable” accurately describes me. I enjoy reading, gaming, Netflix and chill-ing, and Starbucks runs (with anybody, but especially my baby sister). I have an amazing boyfriend who I’ve been dating for 3 and a half years now. He also happened to graduate with my same degree (and surprise, surprise, that’s actually how I met him). I’m obsessed with Gilmore Girls clearly, and I am beyond excited for the revival in 11 days. I’ve pretty much waited for this for the past 10 years, and it’s really all I need for my life to be complete slight exaggeration. Also super jazzed for the Live Action Beauty and the Beast, as that was my favorite childhood film. Not to mention, the Nintendo Switch is also supposed to come out that month with hopefully a rad new Splatoon game. So, as you can see, all of my dreams are coming true. (The best was when I was Belle for Halloween (pictured in the sidebar)).

I’m generally pretty friendly, so please start up a conversation with me. I’m known not to bite – it’s one of my better attributes. If you have any questions about me or this blog, fire away. I’ll answer them… probably. But most importantly, if anyone wants to get me a puppy, I strongly encourage that you do so.
